Hello, and welcome to The Last Gaffe!  I hope you’ll excuse the mess, but I happen to be running around in a blind panic as the terror of finally having my very own Virtual Internet E-Webspace slowly settles in.

The purpose of this site in my mind was supposed to be threefold: to allow me to pool my own meager popularity with other authors similarly sick of obscurity, to give my (and their) unpublished works a professional-looking place to be archived, and to kick my ass into writing regularly.  However, as of right now it is only fulfilling the secret fourth purpose: making me shit my pants.

I suppose it goes without saying that what you’re seeing now is a bare-bones framework of what the site will eventually become as I learn more about using Wordpress (or manage to sucker someone into designing the site for me.  But I’ll make sure to keep it all hush-hush if I do that so I can still take the credit.)  There’s going to be a bunch of pages (and hopefully, a bunch of contributors.) 

In closing, I’ll say this: I really, really hope I don’t fuck this up.
